What Happened at the Pure Property Event?

Tom Lee, Head of Structured Finance here at Pure Commercial Finance, spoke at the event detailing the advantages of using specialist funding, and how it differs from traditional finance. He was followed by Blake Morgan LLP discussing aspects of development finance and cost management.

If you’re not sure what specialist finance is, you can find out more here. However, broadly this involves private individuals, peer to peer lending, platform lending, challenger banks, and funding lines from various sources.

 

 

Tom highlighted how the housing market is continuing to increase year-on-year but is still not growing quickly enough. He noted the importance of geography, who is borrowing i.e. SMEs or major house builders, and the shift change in bank lending due to capital adequacy requirements. Tom talked through the pros of both traditional funding and specialist, and linked this to some of the diverse products available to assist clients, with some key case studies and examples.
