2019 in Review: A Year at Pure Commercial Finance

2019 has been a big year for us here at Pure Commercial Finance. Here are few of our highlights from the last twelve months…

We’ve Been Recognised for Many Awards

We’re proud to say that hard work and efforts made by the Pure Commercial Finance team have been recognised by their peers over the last 12 months, and we have been shortlisted for many awards, including:

Cardiff Property Awards – Shortlisted in the Financial category
Bridging and Commercial Awards – Named Best Development Broker and Best Commercial Broker
Business Moneyfacts Awards 2019 – Highly Commended in the Development Finance Broker of the Year category
Mortgage Strategy Awards 2020 – Shortlisted in the Best Broker for Short-Term Lending category – results revealed 19/03/20

We’ve Attended Events

In March, Tom Lee, Head of Structured Finance, and Lewis Peach, Relationship Director, travelled to Cannes to attend MIPIM 2019 – the leasing conference and exhibition for the international property industry.

Then, in June, we ran a Pure Property Event hosted by Blake Morgan. Tom Lee, Head of Structured Finance here at Pure Commercial Finance, spoke at the event detailing the advantages of using specialist funding, and how it differs from traditional finance. He was then followed by a talk on development finance and cost management.

Lastly, in September, Tom again hit the stage as part of a panel at the UK Property Finance – from whom, for what lenders’ spotlight event. Here he discussed some of the hot topics of the moment, including lending and the high street, rising building costs, and the importance of a robust business plan when seeking finance.

With all three events a success, we look forward to attending and presenting at more in the year ahead.

We Continue to Help Improve the Industry

In 2017, we wrote about how our MD and Co-Founder, Ben Lloyd, was appointed as an executive committee member for the Association of Bridging Professionals (AOBP).

Since then, the AOBP has changed its name to the Financial Intermediary and Broker Association (FIBA), and Ben continues to play his part in supporting intermediaries, helping professionals to deliver excellent products, and ensuring clients receive the best services possible.

We Launched Pure Wealth Management!

After many years in the industry, we have decided to add to our offering and have set up Pure Wealth Management – which focuses on pensions, investments, protection, tax planning, estate planning and wealth management.

And, with a new venture, comes new faces. Paul Cox and Stuart d’Ivry join as Directors, Kyle Bailey as a Senior Paraplanner, and Mollie Bishop as a Paraplanner.

We launched the brand earlier this summer at the Celtic Manor Resort, Newport, where we held a day of golf and dining with 70 exclusive guests.

Amongst those playing were Premier League footballers and professional PGA golfers, so there was some stiff competition, but in the end, Rob Johnson, our relationship Director came out on top in the ‘closest to the pin’ contest.
